Hillary bloggers on strike?

Flipping through the channels tonight I happened across Bill O'reilly interviewing a Hillary supporter named Jehmu Green (here is her blog.) The gist of the conversation centered on the usual O'Reilly nonsense about the extreme & dangerous culture of Dailykos. This site exists to nurture america's marxists, communists and america hating leftists, yada yada yada... and Jehmu sits there nodding her head at BillO's fair & balanced assessment of Dailykos.
When its her turn to speak she launches into a strangely personal diatribe of hurt feelings and childhood innocence lost in the tubes of the internets. I lost focus and have no idea what she was yammering about and I really don't care. But it did strike me as a little bit odd that a blogger supporting Hillary would use O'Reilly's show to vent their frustration.
She made noble efforts trying to set Obama up as the ringleader of every blogger on DK but that comes off as very insincere, IMHO. Even BillO wasn't buying it. Is Jehmu suffering from a case of sour grapes or engaging in a strategy that exploits right-winger television forums to attack the opponent in the nomination race? Probably both, I suspect.
Jehmu is a total bore so I'll move on.
The title of this diary is a question because I didn't read the original diary that caused the controversy here on DK. Well, I did scan it over when it first popped up and then moved on to something else because it didn't interest me at all. If Hillary bloggers want to sit this one out, then so be it. Don't hold your breath waiting for me to try and stop you guys. Let me explain why I'm completely unsympathetic to your cause.
What I'm about to say next is rhetorical.. Hillary supporters, think back about the polls here on DK one year ago. Do you remember who won each and every one of them? No, you don't remember because YOU WEREN'T HERE and John Edwards was winning every single DK poll. This site was dominated by Edwards supporters but that has changed since he dropped out of the race.
Things could have turned out differently had your candidate treated players in the blogosphere with respect and made an effort to hear them out. Instead of nurturing support for candidacy and building bridges she assaults bloggers with lousy remarks about "lobbyists are people too." Hillary knew that would anger the bloggers at the YKOS. For a politician with 35 years of world-class experience it's a bit surprising she could make such a tragic series of mistakes playing politician with this segment of voters.
And one more thing, it doesn't really help her chances in the blogosphere that her campaign strategist Mark Penn is a scum sucking union buster. The working class folk in Ohio & Pennsylvania might not catch on but do you expect the bloggers not to? Ever heard that phrase about the chickens coming home to roost? Heh.
But Hillary thought this would all be wrapped up on February 5th.. courting the informed progressive blogger was never part of her strategy. That's what it boils down to. Oops. It's a bit late to fix that now.
I have so much more respect for Edwards supporters here on DK. Even in the last moments of his campaign when the media ignoring John, they didn't give up and were still holding money bombs and writing diaries for his cause, even after SC.
Hillary supporters, you want to sit this one out? Be my guest.
